PostSubject: Out from PSC   Sun Aug 24, 2014 8:28 pm

Well after a few phone calls from seaspirit we decided to have a day out from prestatyn and we got there nice and early and were soon on the water,it was a bit lumpy early on but had given to calm down at about half ten

We were soon out at the windfarm drifting around for some maccy, they were a bit scarce but we managed a few throughout the day aswell as some gurnard, whiting, dabs, dogs, huss and weevers it was another busy day in the sunshine

We also caught a few of the grinch's pet starfish, not the best photo but these are like green haired starfish???????????

Oh and saw this on the beach to add to the collection

like i said it was another great day out afloat

The starfish are brittle stars, they easily loose arms, and for starfish can move fairly fast. They can be kept in a saltwater fish tank, and fed tiny bits of fish or worms. They usually hide under shells or rocks with just their arms searching for food.

Get lots of brittle stars around Penmon.

I used to have a tank with a corkwing in and when i put some brittle stars in the corkwing scoffed them!

Thats an interesting crate picture. Sort of a mini-"artificial reef".

Good to see the interest is growing Smile
