Spent the weekend camping with the family and some freinds. Got down friday and set 2 of the 3 tents up before the rain came in, which was a result. Went for a recce an hr before high to splash point, kimmel bay, pensarn and colwyn bay. Only spotted 1 rod at pensarn and 1 at colwyn bay. The sea look fierce and coming over the prom at colwyn.

Sat I picked some bait up from Rhos on sea and got geared up for the evening high tide. Me and a mate went to pensarn and were set up 2hrs before high and lines in. Rods were knocking from the off with bait coming back in bits or nothing left on the hook.

We couldn't get anything to stay on the hook for the first hr I lost 2 in the surf and mate lost 1. Just before high I pulled line in to change baits and found a good size whiting well and truely hooked. Beats a blank!!

My mate was still struggling tho. My bait was back in and this time just after high rod went mad with a codling on the end. My first cod and he took a large sand eel and the hook.

My mate blanked, but was good to be out and had a laugh!! Sorry no pics as the weather was crap and phone didnt like the wet.

Until next time.
