Delighted with an invite to join Jason on his boat My time I had the usual little sleep before a fishing expedition and was at Prestatyn Sailing Club all ready for  a 5.30 launch today.

It wasn't long at all before I was in action, whatever was on the other end was pulling back, not a frantic scrap at first, more a solid, " I'm having none of this " confident taking of line against the bait runner,

Then 30 yards out it broke the surface and showed a broad silver bronze flank to the morning light, saw the boat and went berserk,

at 70 cm it beats my previous personal best Bass ( the one on my Avatar shore caught at Splash Point) by a couple of cm

Jason was next in

We were out from 3 hours before Low through to High and back into the ebb moving several times and finished with 10 Bass to the boat, a handful of whiting ( loads more whiting pestered the hooks too big for them ) the odd flattie, then near the end a spate of small Codling and at the final whistle a cracking Plaice for Jason

Thank you for a great trip out Jason !
