PostSubject: Rod refurbishment   Sat Apr 26, 2014 8:38 am

Hi,

I am thinking of having one of my sea rods re-whipped.

Can anyone recommend someone who could do this for me?

Cheers.

I've found Foxons in St Asaph very good on two rods,
though one of our members was disappointed with one rod he took in I was impressed with the quality of the work on mine

I`ve had a couple of rods done at Foxon`s , they did a very good job, but you`ll need very deep pockets, they`re not cheap.

I think you're looking at about £80 to start with for a basic re-build,a bit more if you need the blank
varnishing as well, make sure they use grade C or D nylon with plenty of high build and tell them twice
it's a sea rod !!!
