I've found Foxons in St Asaph very good on two rods,
though one of our members was disappointed with one rod he took in I was impressed with the quality of the work on mine

I`ve had a couple of rods done at Foxon`s , they did a very good job, but you`ll need very deep pockets, they`re not cheap.

I have a Penn Viper EVO1 multiplier and I want to keep it original so what price would I be looking at?

I think you're looking at about £80 to start with for a basic re-build,a bit more if you need the blank
varnishing as well, make sure they use grade C or D nylon with plenty of high build and tell them twice
it's a sea rod !!!
