Sun Up At Splash Sunriseatsplash021

Had a couple of peelers left over from Pensarn yesterday,
took them to Splash Point for 5am High this morning.

Local guy Tony (not that one) had been there since 3am.

He’d had one knock that didn’t produce

Gulls were mobbing the seal over the 2nd gulley.

Nice photos Paul.

Youre certainly putting the hours in. The fish are bound to come soon.

Had a cast watch walk along the prom this afternoon, a couple of people fishing at splash point but no one I recognised, but alarmingly affraid I did spot what could have been a gill net running along the groin to the right hand side of splash point. There did not appear to be anyone there watching over it so could not quiz what was getting caught. Did take a photo on my mobile but it was a bit far away to make anything out.

I did hear that there has been some netting activity down there.
Never a great sight for a shore fisherman.

The sillouette pic (No. 2) is my favourite.

I hope that the netters credentials are in order because Denbighshire Castwatch Officers are out in force!

Whilst we are on the subject........

Is it just me...... when you pan the horizon from Splash Point you can see the curvature of the earth?

I kid you not!

A 1 second scan l-r or even r-l should have desired effect!
