Well at 9:00 this morning i had a phone call off Andy lee and 2 mins later one off seaspirit asking if i was playing out today and after a quick check of the weather and tide (got em both right this week) we decided that the tide times were a bit poor for us and the wind was well BLOWING A BIT anyway we opted for our last venue on the mersey to catch the last 90 mins of the flood
We got there to find a few already there and it was bites from the off with more small codling and whiting
Rob managed to catch this monster that he was told to try for a cod bait but it diddnt catch anything
Andy with another
As the tide turned the bites slowed down so we discussed a move for low water and after a feed in a local cafe we decided on perch rock only to get there and be reminded about the wind
check out them flags anyway after struggling to open the car door we decided that because we were hardcore/completly nuts we would give it a go and the wind would be off our backs,i decided that i was going to fish for dabs as i had enough of micro cod this yr, anyway first cast on a 3 hook flapper with size 4 hooks
And then Andy
then Rob
then the flattys started to feed with a vengeance catching 2 and 3 at a time
Rob had the best dab of the night with this one of 30cm
A nice fish with some nice markings on it,all in all it was another busy day out,we packed up at low water after being sandblasted and were back in the warm at about 8:30
