Brrrr and feather

We had our club fur and feather match last night in a downpour of biblical proportions for the first couple of hours, but it did improve towards the end. We fished Colwyn Bay over low water, and the whiting were there in numbers, unfortunately most of them were undersize. The ones that were big enough made up for that though, with some in the 32 to 36 cm. bracket, the biggest one at 39 cm. was 0.43 kgs. just over 15 ounces.
The winner had no trouble finding fish, just in front of the arches, he had 17 whiting, 2 dabs, and 2 rockling for 4.68 kgs, his best dab won the flatfish pool at 0.39 kgs. ( 0-13-04 lbs. )
The heaviest round fish was the only dog caught between 16 of us, a little one of 0.59 kgs.
I managed 4th place with 8 good sized whiting, most over 30 cm. The prize table was loaded, with every angler taking one prize and the rest raffled off.

Must be a good strong table

well done to all,we fished just to the left of you but didnt get there till later,had a few small codling and lots of good Yting up to 38cm,weather wasnt to bad for us but we did suffer a 5 minute spell of heavy rain and hail,great prize table well done    

Not much imagination on the prizes, it's all booze and choccies,
Not a pamper day in sight!
