There's still some fine rubbing down to do and a sealing coat to apply but I'm impatient to move on to the next stage
I plan to make the top surfaces and build the cuddy from cheap white plastic chopping boards, to resemble the fibre glass, the first stage of which means tracing template shapes through grease proof paper and then copying it on to stiff card, I'll cut the plastic slightly over sized then trim it back.
I'm constantly thinking how things will go a few stages ahead and keep spending my pocket money on a growing stash of bits to dress her up ( much like the real boat then!)
Although a couple of days ago I chanced upon some low bake ( 150 degrees in the oven ) modelling putty in various colours and even metallic finishes in a craft shop in Llanrwst and I'm thinking it has definite applications in this project...I'll have to rattle my piggy bank some more
