Cheers Joe, I'm sure that it is a health and safety issue of some sort.

There's been quite a few reports of angler's being turned away which is one thing but being threatened with fines by security guards who are (according to reports) rude and obnoxious is just not necessary and I for one would like an answer to exactly how long this will be going on for and is there any truth in the suggestion that fishing is to be banned along this stretch altogether  Exclamation

Getting the council to give an answer of course is something else  Shocked

Meanwhile though if anyone is planning a trip there and comes up against any opposition please keep your cool and don't give them any ammunition (so to speak)  Very Happy

Heard this sort of thing many times before, what are they going to fine you for ??trespass ?,all they can
do is ask you to move on,you can't be physically removed by anyone except the police, who may fine you
for obstruction, and you cannot be fined for trespassing unless you've caused damage.
