| Venue - Rhyl Duration - 8 hrs Bait: Fresh Lug, Fresh Mackerel, Frozen Squid, Peeler Crab, Live Shrimp Boat - Suveran II Skipper - Simon Parry Date - 23rd May 2009
With a good selection of baits, today's plan was to fish various marks and just see what we could pick up.
First up, we anchored by a wreck that does produce Bream in the summer months. There were lots of fish to be had. Pouting, Poor Cod, Dabs, Whiting and Doggies were all coming up at a steady rate.
With Mackerel and Launce also showing, we were able to try some bigger baits.
We had no luck today with the Bream, Huss or even an early Tope.
With slack tide upon us, we decided to head over to the Smoothy mark off Prestatyn to see what we could pick up.
Crab, Shrimp and Fresh Lug were all used. To great effect as it turned out!
The Smoothies were taking the Crab and Shrimp.
The Bass favoured the Fresh Lug and Shrimp.
There were no monsters, but the sheer numbers made up for this. I stopped counting when the Smoothies and Bass hit double figures a piece.
With the sun now setting, we headed home having had another fantastic session onboard Suveran.
Happy Days!!!!

| Great reports.
Whilst sunbathing in the forecast bright hot sun at a fishless Splash yesterday we could see an armada's close formation on the horizon, all returned to the hot spot I guess.
After all the bass on boat reports Maestro's taking to the water today. |
