CRASHING waves... SMASHING seas... Bringing sailors to their knees. As they struggle to save their lives Hoping and praying, help arrives. The stormy seas as dark as coal, Preventing the sailors from reaching their goal. Battered and bruised, but still they fight... Staring ahead, into the dead of night. Rocking and rolling as they try to stand... Hoping against hope, that they soon reach land. Bleary eyed from lack of sleep. Down in their cabins, huddled like sheep. As they're rocking and rolling down beneath Weary sailors above, resist with gritted teeth. hours later, as the storm starts to dissipate, It leaves a calm tranquil sea in it wake. The veteran sailors know the battle is over, and they have won... As contemplate, other storms yet to come...

For a shocking moment I thought our Logger had gone all poetic on us,
Until I googled it!
Nice quote to be fair, may be we need a new section on Sunny Rhyl

This has been my favourite for many years, it's about an elopement but you can pretend its about lighting a fag whilst night fishing if you'd rather,

I
The grey sea and the long black land;
And the yellow half-moon large and low;
And the startled little waves that leap
In fiery ringlets from their sleep,
As I gain the cove with pushing prow,
And quench its speed i' the slushy sand.

II
Then a mile of warm sea-scented beach;
Three fields to cross till a farm appears;
A tap at the pane, the quick sharp scratch
And blue spurt of a lighted match,
And a voice less loud, thro' its joys and fears,
Than the two hearts beating each to each!

The wind was whistling,
The sea was rough when Notbad took his photograph,
The showers came the showers went and left our hero...
a little bent.

Against the weather he did tread to delight us all with this thread.
No fish said he upon this night,
But never mind,
I'll treat them all on this site,
So with his camera he set forth and tret us all with his foresight.

For these pictures we give thanks....
As after all.....
There Notbad lol!
Try googling that one lol!

Logger. Do you think this is the right thing to say about one of our up standing members of this forum and an owner of a boat and therefore a sailor. Well maybe the sailor is a little iffy. Maybe you should change the words to read, (left our hero... A little under the weather).

Kirkys dad,
he did write about the poem I wrote last night,

He gave suggest that it was shi#te and took the wee wee as if in fright.

Now we know that he's a wit,
Or at least.....
He's half of it.

(I should start writing these down I'd make a fortune Laughing )

Mmmmm.

There was once a feller called Logger,
Who liked to chop trees like he's hard,
The truth, we've all twigged- he's a bit of a bard,
But for an end rhyme he's got me stumped
-so now the fellah is barred!
