Too soon for flounders!

Our club match in the Conwy estuary on Sunday was hard work, with winds gusting to gale force and snow melt water coming down the river the fish weren`t interested. Added to the fact that fresh crab were harder to get hold of than rocking horse droppings, it`s no wonder that only 4 of the 15 anglers found any flounders at all!
Gary Bates must have had some quality frozen crab, his 3 fish for 1.99 kgs. beat the rest of the field added together, his best fish, a superb specimen of 1.03 kgs. ( 2-04-04 lbs. ) would probably have been a 3 pounder if it hadn`t been spent. I`ll be back there in a couple of months to see if I can find it when it`s had a good feed

Well done to all it's not easy at the moment but good times are ahead.
