Pensarn last night

15 anglers fished our club match over high water at Pensarn last night. Everyone weighed in bags of doggies and a few whiting, there was only one bass caught, but at 42 cms. it was too small to count.
The whiting were there in their dozens, but only the odd one or two made the 27 cms. minimum size. The winning bag was 13 dogs and a whiting for 13.22 kgs, As usual only each angler`s best two were retained for weighing, with all others released and counted as 1 kg.
The heaviest fish prize went to a dog of 1.19 kgs. ( 2-09-12 lbs. )
The 3 generations of Joneses were there, Kev managed 4th with 8 dogs, I was 8th with 6 and a whiting, and Tom took the junior prize with 2 dogs.

Nice one thought more bass would have shown

I, along with other members of this forum do fishing matches along the North Wales Coast, at the peg draw we are given a card to record your catch, this verified by measure with your next peg angler, all fish returned alive(where possible due to hook position) and the count is done on the card at the end of the fishing, all happy, unless you blank !!
