BROWN OR BLACK Empty
PostSubject: BROWN OR BLACK    BROWN OR BLACK EmptySat Jun 16, 2012 11:32 am

I am wondering which lug worms anglers prefere I have found that the locals prefer medium-large sized brown lug worms I prefer blacks (large) as I mostly fish pulley pennel rigs so A large worm on the pennel gives A cracking presentation which do you prefer Question

I think the question is which the do fish prefer?
I reckon they will grab whatever is available
Bait diggers and tackle shops and charter skippers get over-excited about the big ones to justify the prices

Agree with steve. We don't all go over the top on big blacks. They're great to get for the winter on the Mersey for the cod where you need big baits but through the summer we tend to sell packs with smaller brown lug (in packs with more than 10 worms though so you get your moneys worth) as they work better. Like I said before blacks for frozen brown for fresh
