PostSubject: Mytime Sunday 10.6.2012 A Line Was Drawn In The Sand   Sun Jun 10, 2012 8:52 pm

Sunday 10 June 2012, A Line Was Drawn In The Sand

Out with Jason on his boat Mytime again

Windspeed: light
Sea state: mild
Abuse from Jason for painting my sinkers sand coloured: Constant!

Well some carp anglers camouflage their leads so I don't see why it wouldn't help catch bass!

A line was drawn in the sand and the duel commenced,
5 identical Abu rods with identical rigs and a shared supply of lug

I fired out my camouflaged leads on two rods and Jason put his shiny balls on the line with the other three.

First catch to Jason

Next to me

final scores on the door were,

Jason's 3 rods: a flattie and 4 Bass

My 2 rods: 1 Plaice and 5 Bass ( including today's heaviest at 3lb 11 oz )

So is it proven that sand coloured leads work better?
5 fish on 3 rods v 6 fish on 2 rods - that's nearly double the catch rate for the camo leads
so I think there might be a grain of truth in it!

So who's having the last laugh then? - Jason was last seen camouflaging Mytime 2

Great report Paul.
If you can outfish 'The Bass Master', I'm converted to the Camo leads!

Good luck with the new boat!

Probably "Notbad one" Mike,
thought of a few others but couldn't see myself saying them over the radio!

Says Atlanta 15 on her but seller understands this to be the make, she's been working in Nefyn. If anybody can throw any light on the design and age I'd love to hear.

I believe there is a ritual to follow involving the boat being out of the water! ( which it may be for a little while yet! )
