A Smashing day on Mytime

Celebrated the jubilee with a 5am launch this morning

I joined Jason on Mytime and Mehmet joined Nathan on Black Bart .

I managed a few Bass and the occasional flattie

-very few for me compared to Jason who was on full charge today , he had so many Bass I ran out of fingers and toes to count 'em

The near 1 metre swell had me lurching about the deck like a one legged man in an arse kicking comp

Ever ready to chase a specimen the Men in Black' caught up with us in calmer water and reckoned on a 7lb to the Maestro

Whilst Mytime then headed for Hilbre, Black Bart headed back in

A couple of marks later I'm baiting up and wondering what I could do to slow Jason's catch rate down a bit when some mysterious force sent the deck one way and my feet the other and I'm flat on my back looking up at blue sky and a very worried Jason who'd thought I was a gonner! Embarassed

I didn't hurt at all but when the giggle fit stopped a closer inspection revealed there were unfortunately two clean fractures,
- the tips of two of Jason's rods -
- "that'll slow the bugger's catch rate down I thought" Wink ( not that it did!)

Another smashing 10 hour trip came to an end all too soon, thanks for the tips Jase ( and I'll replace yours! )

By all accounts the men in Black Bart had a smashing time too -but that's another story entirely Wink

Nice one again Paul!

That standing up malarky on these small boats is an art in itself isnt it? Especially when theres a bit of swell lol!
