When checking the tide times don't forget the 1 hour thing overnight Saturday - Sunday ! Had completely forgotten about the hr for bst until then Paul so what time does that make sundays high
P.S Modeste Geoffs has plenty worm just spoken to him and reserved a few packs Ian, I'll risk an answer but locally I use the link on this web site, which is actually for Llandudno, Rhyl is somewhere about 15 to 25 minutes later than this depending on who you ask and which tables you are talking about (and the weather) I'm not a professional so if anyone can be more specific please feel free. Other tide tables are available but using your eyes is not a bad idea, especially over Low. [b]The times given on the link are stated as being GMT, so late morning High on Saturday is 11.32 ( Llandudno) plus a bit for Rhyl If you then "Spring Forward" your watch overnight, The early Sunday PM High is 12.08 GMT (Llandudno) so 1.08 BST (Llandudno) plus a bit for Rhyl or about the time your Dad gets you up after your usual session in the New Pines clubMy cheapo digital watch I use for fishing is currently 13 minutes slow, I've lost the instructions on how to re-set the time, so I've gotta take the battery out briefly at midnight on Saturday,...or is it 11pm .... or 1am...? now I'm confused. No Liabilty accepted but, tell you what. -if your feet are getting wetter the tide is coming in if your knees are wet you should be somewhere else. |

| Great pictures from Castwatch there Paul.
Ian, well done for getting out. Don't forget that there is always the Marine Lake as a fallback Plan C.
Good luck tomorrow. |

| Saturday Night update:
The forecast I've been pinning my hopes on is the link on this site, Rhyl windspeed reckoned to be dropping to 6mph at six o'clock tonight (Saturday) and most promisingly the wind has been Northerlyish for 24 hours now.
Hit the post low tide mark at 7pm, not down to 6mph but a lot less windy than it has been, certainly fishable and still Northerly. Bait Geoff's lug and some donated minutes old fresh lug (many thanks mate! -sorry don't know your name)
The sea still had a right cob on her, 5 oz was dancing around a bit but a long nose 7oz I'd invested in at Foxon's earlier held OK.
Big areas of clear sky, towards the North East I could see what I thought to be the International Space Station, reckon I could even make out the reflection of it's newly extended solar panel... or maybe I'm taking too much caffeine!
Retreated back to the innermost gulley then went to Splash for an hour.
Packed it in 90 minutes before high, no bites, 7oz now struggling and I was out of coffee
Fishless then, but genuinely nice to be out etc etc etc.
Theoretically the inbound N'ly wind ought to be throwing fish our way. Maybe Sunday??? (Forecast to move to being Southerlyish though)

Better get in there soon before the Algae Bloom arrives -bait came back a couple of times covered in persistant foam tonight, hope it's not the orangeybloom starting already ( it always seems to start about the time the caravans come alive! I blame the lager) Our stalwart centre forward was on the bench babysitting tonight but he may be available for an evening fixture on Sunday. |

| Don’t know why an hour’s less sleep amounted to a morning that felt like a Summer afternoon in Sunny Rhyl, but not complaining. Plenty to see at the beach today; Frosting on the mountain tops, 2 pairs of albatrosses skimming the stratosphere, a seal, the A300 wing transporter, Ian catching rockling in the distance… and the jolly nice flounder Mehmet produced right on cue for the audience at the Point over High. Robson Green estimated it at 10 to 12lbs (like all the fish he sees!)Went out again for a short session over low tonight. Found a washed up doggie, but nothing else to report One of those Happy Days! |

| Me and the newly overhauled blue owl 'scope extended the weekend into Monday and fished a dull Splash Point for just an hour over High this afternoon Sent a light rolling lead looking for fishies whilst the castwatch plane circled overhead. Nothing to report |

Ian, it's still a good tide, http://www.pol.ac.uk/ntslf/tides/?port=0007 if you can call a fishless tide a good tide. Didn't bother trying tonight. Mike., Marathon? S'nickers maybe, absolute pants even. Enjoyed the fresh air anyway but a fish would be nice! |
