The Shifting Sands Of Time Empty
PostSubject: The Shifting Sands Of Time   The Shifting Sands Of Time EmptyFri Mar 06, 2009 9:57 pm

Venue - Rhyl, Notbad Gully
Tide - Low
Time - Day
Bait: Fresh Lug

The first thing I noticed on arrival was the height of sand by the steps.
For a year or so now there has been a 4ft drop from the steps to the sand.
It's all change, magically, over the last 2 weeks, the 4ft drop has now disappeared making for a comfortable stroll onto the sands rather than a precarious jump.

The 'Notbad Gully' was just starting to flood as I got set up.

I was fishing 1 rod with Fresh Lug sections on a 3 hook flapper. Infact, the very same 3 hook flapper that I have fished for months now!
I bought it from Geoff's ages ago and it is still with me.
Squidward has recounted stories of match fishermen that bin their rigs after 1 cast!
Not being a match fisherman, I find that a change of rigs every 6 months does me!
Maybe that's why I blank so much??

I fished a couple of hours up.
Unfortunately no bites to report.

Evidence of life in the Irish Sea came just as I was packing up.

You just know that the fishing is slow when the 'Notbad Gully' returns a blank.

Happy Days!!!
