Once again the wind stopped me nipping to the island so decided on a mark
closer to home that has produced the odd smoothie in the past and if the wind dropped as predicted then i might be in with a chance.
Took 20 frozen crab and a packet of unwanted rag (apparently worth a tenner !!
) off Joe and set of to fish 2 down 2 up.
One flatty bite in 2 hours, then the sea calmed a bit and got a decent
knock on crab (rag getting stripped so chucked it) resulting in a nice starry
hound.
It had got caught up in a bit of discarded net which had dug in quite deep
so spent a couple of minutes cutting it free and off it went.
Caught a small pup about 15 mins later
Had the only dog of the session
Then the best fish of the night a
5lb-10 starry.
Went thinking there was a slim chance of getting one and ended up with
three so more than happy.
