After seeing the ray's appearing i thougt id have a go before i cant afford to. (credit crunch and before our wage cut kick's in). i decided to head for barclodaid y gawres.
Id had ray's here before but a long time ago so with it being a bit bigger tide i thought fish it in day light and mid tide run.
so armed with s/eel squid and macky for here. and fresh blow and razor's for later on off the island i went.
got there around fourish and set up. a good bit of tide run but a little too choppy so set up with both rods armed with s/eel on 4/0 pulley's. fishing about 120 yd's.
waited about an hour and nowt so hopes wernt to high then just the one bite and.

first for a while.
so target achived and happy as larry. darkness came and so did the dog's and whiting.
i give it a couple of hour's after dark and low water hoping maybe mr huss might come along but to no avail all i had was whiting dabs and dogs.
so of to h/head and tea. (had a burger from h/head kebab shop williams street and fair do's if your hungry in h/head it's the place to go)
so next mark out come the blow lug and the target bass.got there and there was a nice rolling surf on. not to big and not to small. again loaded pulley rig's with worm and cast just over the last breaker.
first cast.
mission accomplished yet again by this time i was made up. being honest ive been out 3 times in the last fortnight and was getting fed up with w/ting dogs and dabs so aint being doing report's.
fished it for about another 2 hour's with just w/ting so decided it was time for home.
then i get another bite and another silver bar.
so the end result was a thornie load's of w/ting a few dogs and dabs a couple of silvers and one happy joe.
(ohhhh i met degs at this beach but he. well i'll let him tell you how he got on)
