Venue - Rhyl
Duration - 5 hrs
Bait: Frozen Lug, Fresh Lug, Frozen Mackerel, Frozen Squid
Boat - Suveran II
Skipper - Simon Parry

In a bid to escape blanking on the beach, I joined Simon onboard Suveran II for a 5hr trip fishing inshore marks.

A mild SW wind presented fairly comfortable conditions to the 7 of us.

Goldilocks was out aswell. They had been out for half an hour when we arrived, with a few Dabs showing for them.

We were struggling. A couple of bites is all we had to show for the first hour.

The Dabs did eventually show for us too. Not in great numbers, but sizable nonetheless.

A Porpoise made an appearance. A great sight to see close up Smile

The pace of the fishing didn't pick up.
Dabs were the only fish accounted for on Suveran.

Goldilocks fared slightly better with Dabs, Whiting and Rockling being caught.

My goal of escaping blanking on a beach was achieved.
I blanked on a boat instead!
Not even a Whelk today for me Smile

Happy Days!!!

We weren't too far out really. Could clearly see the shoreline.
Borrowed Simons binocculars as part of my 'cast watch' duties. Splash Point was clear!
