Back from 2 weeks on Cayo Coco, Cuba.

Managed to fish every morning, the second week wasn’t as productive as the 1st due to receding tides.
The main spot was a rock formation called “dog tooth rock” about a 2 mile walk down the beach from my hotel.
What a walk !

Caught some fantastic looking fish

I fished with some of the locals, the rocks were lethally sharp but this guy was bare foot !

It certainly beats freezing your wotsits off on Holyhead breakwater !
Roll on the next visit !

out of interest, can anyone identify any of the fish ?

I think the ones I am holding are bonefish ? but they were caught on the bottom, and I allways thought they were a top feeder !

Im pretty sure the ones in the 19th and 20th photo are Ornate Wrasse. The missus and I have caught them whilst deep sea fishing off the coast of Fuertaventura.

I would have said parrot fish could be wrong tho
The blu and yellow stripey things are grunts not sure of proper name but they grunt when you unhook them - bones I think - the silver belters at the end are trevalle I think and they fight like mad - you know it.

I've fished that bridge on 4 or 5 holidays now and yes, the fishing there is awesome, a lot of the time the lead doesn't even hit the bottom before a fish is on ! (that is as long as you can get between the locals with their hand lines!)

I think the little silver jobby could be a mohara (not sure if thats the way you spell it)
BTW how is your foot - I thinkw we met at gimblet some time ago and you had just stuck a knife in yer foot scratch
