Venue - Rhyl, Splash Point Tide - 3 hrs after low Time - Night Bait - Frozen Lug
It's the first day of another year! A day for hopes and aspirations to be reassessed, and time to set goals for the coming 12 months. A fish would make a good start tonight!
I set up at Splash Point, using a Wormy clipped down pennel rig with some re-frozen Lug. The wind was Easterly and biting!
Things were quiet and cold! A lone headlamp 500yds west started to signal me! My morse code is a bit rusty, but I'm sure it was The Maestro and he was asking to 'Save Our Sole'! If only I could catch one was my reply!
A few more casts without a fish and I decided to get the camera out and take a few self portraits. It would pass the time nicely and would also make The Maestro think I was into some fish (well it made me chuckle! )
A last cast for the road was biteless like the rest. As I was packing up, I had a Driveby Tooting! Wormy as it turned out!
Just on his way to fish The Hydo! Hope you had more luck than me!
Happy New Year!!!!

Maestro sighting confirmed, when I spoke to him about 5.30 he'd had a good knock but no hook up.
