The Great Escape! Empty
PostSubject: The Great Escape!   The Great Escape! EmptyFri Feb 20, 2009 10:25 pm

Venue - Rhyl Hydro
Tide - High
Time - Night
Bait: Fresh Lug

With bait in the freezer, I was toying with the idea of a sneaky couple of hours over high.
A text from The Maestro with the offer of Fresh Lug made it a no brainer!

Half way between Splash Point and The Hydro was tonights chosen mark.
Mehmet was reeling in a Rockling as I arrived.
My 3 hook flapper was baited up with some of Mehmets finest and cast out.

The Maestro has fished an enviable 14 days on the trot. Always armed with a good selection of bait, the fact that tonights Rockling was his first fish in 2 weeks was a bit of a surprise.

There were to be no more fish landed tonight but the few hours listening to some cracking fishing annecdotes made it yet another great escape.

Happy Days!!!
