Nearly A Duffy

Monday 27.12.10. A game of three halves





8am kicking about on NBG for 3 hours up from Low with Mehmet,








Moving West to Splash with the flood and still not so much as a knock between us.
At least we could watch the footie training



Sick as a parrot, a substitution and a change of ends was called for;




8pm set off in heavy rain to fish The Mersey from Low up with Wormy.

Checked round a few of the places he knows so well but new to me.
Settled on a relatively sheltered spot at Seacombe, immediately above the Kingsway Tunnel.



Midnight and I can't get that tune out of my head!

1.30am the report title possibilities were endless but the fish were absent, the rain stopped and we moved to the reputed wonder wall that is Cod Corner.



"Watch the ice" says Wormy - as he promptly falls flat on his arse.


The horizontal rain and icy chill blowing from Rock Ferry was not that kind



3am, an hour before High & still biteless it was looking like a duffy,
rain, rain, rain and we were begging for mercy
when a last cast each produced some knocks that wouldn't connect, several "last casts" naturally followed...



...a picture of a fish would be nice ...

Unlucky on the fish front

good report/pics shame about the lack of fish but wormy on his butt goota have made your trip woth while
wormy your fishing not doing the entertainment mate ( but good on yer )
