Nice to see you, I enjoyed the chat and it`s a long time since I saw Anthony with a beach rod in his hands.

Thanks for the report, see you've got a Salt tripod, far lighter than the MTI one.
I found the Salt's stabiliser bars effective but a right pain and after I snapped one connection (trapped in bits dangling off the bucket) I like the result so much I removed the other one too.

That said, I'm usually on the beach so I can just plant it in the sand, its a lot easier to fold for a quick retreat on the flood without stabiliser bars but I have added a simple short ali-bar on pipe clips for those times when a bit of added stability feels necessary on the prom.

Nice report Tony.
Love the sunset.

2 surprises for me......
Tony with a rod in his hand and also hearing that Headwyn has yet to catch a Rockling this year Smile

A situation which should be sorted during our junior match on Saturday evening at Colwyn Bay. Very Happy

I read somewhere last week that the main predator for rockling was the cod, does that explain why theres so many about as everyone is complaining theres not a lot of cod about this year................anyone else know if this could be true?

Sounds plausible, although you rarely hear of Rockling being used as a bait.

I've certainly never seen 'Ammo Rockling' in Geoffs Smile
