I have often wondered why this has been permitted to go on for so long.

I am not sure what the solution is, but I have signed the petition because these current regs are just daft.

It`s a disgrace, any attempt at conservation by anglers returning fish feels like pi**ing against the wind in the face of astronomical figures of fish deaths such as this.

it is wrong but at least its going back in the sea to add to the food if they took all the fish then most of it would end up as fertiliser and cat food

some one as said earlier it makes a mockery of us anglers releasing our fish but i say if we as a body (anglers ) keep on doing so we can all hold our heads high and say we are doing our bit i know how every one feels on this barbaric law but if we stand by the general public and sign the petition even though we are a minority were like a pebble thrown into a pond maybe small but look at the ripples it makes sooner or later we will reach the end, in the program the trawler skippers say they are now trying there hardest since the limits were invoked not to catch cod or fish the known cod marks we all recognised the increased amount of codling over the last few years this shows that something must be working,, The trawler men have a hard enough time as it is but are the the foreign trawlers (factory ships being set limits as they have ruined there sea and now rape ours,, glad we can vote politicians out SHAME not the agreements THEY agree to 🐰

This has been going on for a looooooooooong time,
a square mesh section was introduced in the 80/90s (UK)
the idea being undersized fish could escape
it works up to a point?
FOREIGN boats are not bothered by size or by/catch if it is in the net then it will be on the market Evil or Very Mad ( a visit to any FOREIGN ports will verify this) Sad Sad Sad
Up & down the country undersized fish are being caught in large numbers,
on a daily basis by ??????so called anglers Evil or Very Mad bagged & taken home... Sad Sad
The old adage only take what you need stands firm Smile Smile
have a nice day all peaceful journies & tight lines to allllllllll Very Happy Very Happy
