Friday Night Low

big tide and a long way out for Low at Splash with Maestro - not a bite.

On a night when I twice witnessed more than I wanted to of the emergency services stirling work in saving people from their own private grief, I was back out again for High at Splash
to meet up with Ian and his "apprentice" Ryan.

Five pin whiting for me, but supposedly novice Ryan showed Ian how it was done (several times over!)

Shame there were not any good fish, but at least fish!
I was pumping lug opposite Garford rd 15 pumping and 4 fishing.,
As I departed at dusk, I saw a girl about 17 drinking spirits on her own sitting by the steps,I asked if she was ok she replied she was...................I am wondering if she was the grief victim?.......... I hope not

As per our chat up at the point just now, I felt bad for having simply passed her by on the outbound walk earlier - despite feeling something wasn't quite right with her. I'm glad you spoke to her.

The various squad cars and paramedics that attended some time later were there a while, and we decided to call it a night, they'd all gone by High so hopefully a good outcome,

and then later in an unrelated matter bothering to stop and call three 9s for the guy I found face down, not moving and with his head covered ( alive) on Russell Road felt like some kind of balance.
