Hia guys.

This is a bit of a late one

Went out with Jason on mytime for a bit of a bass bash on saturday 3rd July.

We met in the morning with the weather looking a little dull but calm and gave ourselves a couple of hours down the beach pumping some lug. Not the biggest but perfect for bass. Wink

we set off and bombed along the waves which by now had developed a bit.

Just the one mark this time but hopes were high.

With the usual setup of fresh worms on a pennel using spinning rods we set up, cast out and waited.

Bight detection wasn't easy as by now the wind had changed directon a little and there was more of a chop on the waves. But still fishable.

A few missed nibbles didnt deter or dishearten us. In fact it gave us more hope (but with a little added frustration)

Eventually it was fish on.
With the boat moving with the waves it was hard to tell the size or even have a guess of what it was.

Great little surprise What a Face

Then Jason had a little nock followed by a helluva run........ Which produced this whopper!!

Then a nice bass (sorry no pic as it was starting to become a mad hour with the boat moving and losing the odd rig over the rough ground)

Then a stonking run on one of my rods. With the hook well and truly in I was onto something big... really big. Clutch screaming and rod bending. By now the adrenaline was going and you could have seen my beaming smile from the shore. Playing it carefully and trying to tire this beast from the deep out, all of a sudden................SLACK LINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOO F%^$£ T$%£^

Was not a happy chappy to say the least. But hey ho thats the way this fishing malarkey works.

To finish the day off I had my first starry hound What a Face What a Face

Cheers Jason

Until next time
