Fished Trearddur on saturday, nice and sunny but chilly with the northerly
wind, the type of weather that burns your face without you realising !!.
Arrived at 9 and had a spotty in the first couple of casts
It then went quiet over low for a couple of hours with just the odd dog
and codling
Had a play with the wrasse on light gear while it was slow
Once the run picked up the codling started, still a lot of them about
for this time of year, a few more dogs and one more decent spotty
before i went at 3
Decided to stop on the other side of the island on the way home for
a quick maccy bash, they were there but not in numbers, just the odd
single coming out, but a decent size
With the risk of getting crossed lines by frantic feather chuckers i thought
i would fish a rod for rays with some lovely fresh macky, and i was rewarded with a nice 5 1/2lb thornie.
Called it a day after that and home nice and early for some brownie points, and a burnt monkeys a*se. Lol
