PostSubject: 5th June out from PSC   Sun Jun 06, 2010 10:31 pm

Managed to get the new boat out this weekend after 2 weeks of polishing and removing Anti foul (cheers Steve Nautico-marine 01745 886567 or 07746 707 806)
Launched from the club around 9am club was already busy with 10 boats on the water 4 boats had managed another all nighter.
One of the lads from work wanted to give it a go, headed out towards the windmills to see if there was and Mackerel around first two drifts across the front resulted in 0 fish landed, decided to head out a bit further by the cardinal buoy, again no mackerel but plenty of small whiting, Received a call for a radio check of Nathan (Bounty hunter) as he could not get hold of any one quick chat and he passed over the news I was looking for Mackerel in numbers headed out another 4 miles and thru the mist it was a just like a boat car park with 8 charters along the channel, Popped over to see Steve on Supreme to see how he was getting along and yes there were mackerel about.
Gave a bit of distance between the boats and started a drift within 30 mins we had a box full over 50 fish all good size also plenty of herring, whiting and small codling.
Dropped the hook and fished on the bottom for a while again it was non stop Huss, gurnard and the old favourite dogs.
Headed in to the channel by the wind farm to giveit a tryJohn lad from work was well chuffed I don’t think he has ever caught so many fish is looking for a boat Smile

Finished the day on the rough ground but not much happening Nathan followed us in but gave it a go on the banks with a few fresh worm managed a lovely 5 1/2pond bass Jammy sod
