C.B.V.S.A.C. SUMMER SHORE LEAGUE MATCH 2

We had a Dee estuary rover match yesterday, with 17 members taking part. I chose a mark up river from Greenfield, behind the Kingspan factory, it was a bit dodgy for retrieving and landing fish, but it looked fishy.

First cast found me a double header of flounders

followed by an eel

then another double of flounders

The algae came in in quantity with the top of the tide, but it didn`t put the fish off


I finished the match with 11 flounders and 4 eels for a weight of 5.53 kgs. enough to win by 0.82 ( almost a couple of pounds)
here`s a couple of plaice that were caught near where I was, Dave had this one

and Chris won the heaviest fish prize with this one of 2lb. 3oz.
