AN other was "Joe" from Stockport, 50+ years of sea fishing behind him and sneaking a bit more in before a big operation,

Good Luck Joe.

Llandudno Pier - 2nd june 2010

A bit of excitement as a decent fish broke the surface.

The drop net was lowered...........

Sadly, it never made the net.

Great memories indeed!
It staightened Pauls hook if I'm not mistaken.

Just goes to show that fishing from a pier can add that extra complication.
I remember Del The Tope hooking into a Conger on there. I ran around the cafe and grabbed mags' drop net and headed back to 'assist'!
The net and line got tangled and the fish would have been history if Simon hadn't handlined it up.

Anyway, hello to Paul, Dee, Mags and Netty if you are reading this.

A stroll down to Splash Point with the dog tonight revealed at least 9 rods fishing up the flood, about an hour and a half after low, just one pan sized bass and an eel caught as far as I could ascertain.

Whoever it is deserves to catch because its been lashing it down all day!

Oh no .. you have given the castwatch operatives advance warning of your whereabouts!

It'll be like a crowd of twitchers desperate to see a glaucous winged gull or long-billed murrelet.

Friday 6 August 2010 8pm

2 lads and one rod at the flashy light and a Dad and lad towards the steps.

2 blokes on the rocks with huge telephoto lenses, seems a trifle early to take up position for this weekend's air show,
