Venue - Llandudno Pier

Date - 18/12/2009

Bait - Fresh lug and Fresh Mackerel.

It was another chance to wet a line before the Festivities start.

Also another chance to meet some more members from the Forum. This included Seajunky and Ian, accompanied by Mickfish, Clueless two.

After sorting the key out with Sara and the money, we made our way.

Mick and Ian Nipped into the Spacemans spot, So Ritchie and i tried another spot a little further up, Mike, Seajunky and Clueless and Simon were in the usual spot by the Bar.

It was a slow start to the evening, Mick was first in with a couple of nice whiting, followed by Ritchie with this Monster

Whilst i was talking to Ritchie my rod slipped back towards me, but when i looked at the tip it was bouncing, i lifted into the bite which produced this nice Codling.

After this it was whiting whiting whiting.

The best fish of the night was caught by Ritchie, this corker.

I managed to land a good half dozen to keep up with ritchie who was non-stop.

A couple more species for the Spaceman, a rockling.

And a nice Dab.

On the other side Mike reported it as being quiet.

The surprise of the night were the Mince pies provided by our host Fairziff.

They were quality Mike..

The most disturbing aspect was Mick who had his coffee but forgot his Butties, and i found him just about to tuck into his catch.. Lol

Ritchie decided to try for a conger again.

But like last time no luck.

With bites drying up i used some advice given to me by Tony on the last meet, so we moved to another location on the pier.

And yes Ritchie was pulling them in one after the other.

A slight dusting of Snow finished the evening off for us.

Another Top night spent with some really nice people, it was nice to meet up with the new guys on the forum and meet with you again Mark.
Many thanks Mike for the invite again, can't wait for the 29th.

Have yourselves a Super Christmas, and see you all soon.

Best of Luck to Simon who gets married 2moz.

Spaceman.

Another freezing cold Friday night, another trip onto the Magical Llandudno Pier!

I know I go on about it, but fishing this venue in the dark never fails to impress.
With Llandudno's tasteful promenade as a backdrop, it doesn't get much better than this.

Sheltering from the biting NW wind, I set up on the shore side of the bar.
Initially, the fishing was slow.

A lone Poor Cod was all I had to show for the first hour.

Next to me, Seajunky was faring better with a small Codling.

As the tide started to flood, things got a bit better with a steady stream of Whiting, the odd Doggie and a Dab or 2.

As well as some Codling and Whiting, Clueless too was getting his fair share of the Dab action.

By now, so was I!

Putting us all to shame, as usual, Simon had Dabs, Whiting, Doggies and Codling accounted for.

By the Cafe, the rest of the lads were fairing slightly better. Similar species, but a few more of them.

As high water approached, it went dead. Just the odd knock and the very occasional Whiting still showing.

Time to pull up the bait trap.
Lots of Velvet Swimmers, a few small Poor Cod and 3 half decent Whiting had taken a fancy to the Sardine bait. As well as a very suspicious rod tip bell bite indicator!

Surely a Seajunky/Clueless Too wind up! Smile

It was great to see a few familiar faces and also to meet up with Lee for the first time.

I'm looking forward to the post Christmas session here on the 29th.
Clueless Too threw down a gauntlet and consequently, the next meet will see a friendly challenge.

It's the Pier vs The Mersey charter.
Details to follow!!!!!!!

To cap another amazing night, the snow arrived just as we were packing up.
