Why am I here???

Venue - Kinmel Bay
Tide - High
Time - Day
Bait: Frozen Lug, Frozen Squid

My first outing of 2009 was to be Kinmel Bay over high.

The light Easterly combined with recent fishless reports meant that hopes were not high.

2 rods were used. Frozen Lug tipped with Frozen Squid was the best I could manage at short notice.
2 and 3 hook flappers were used.

With no wind or surf, a 3oz gripper was enough for the beachcster and a 1oz Arlsley Bomb was perfect for the Berkley Cherrywood spinning rod.

As predicted, it was quiet!!!!!
The flask was the most used piece of equipment!

You can only drink so much coffee in 1 session, so after a few hours of bite and fishless solitude, it was time to pack up and head home.

It was at this point that the reason for me being here became apparant!

Wow Mike!
There may be a lack of fish locally at the moment but with that utterly stunning sunset pic I'm glad the only fresh grounds you turned to were in your flask.

It's a Canon Ixus 70 Tony.

Not available new anymore but the 80 is the replacement.

Mine has served me well.
It is on it's last legs now though. All that sand is starting to play havoc with the lens motor.
I would still buy the 80 when mine finally dies.

I had a new camera for crimbo, its a Samsung M110 8.2 million pixels, the disc took about 30 seconds to load and downloading is so simple, all i need to do is suss this photobucket out then you can all enjoy the pictures. I have sent Mike some of the last day of 2008 in Mold on my walk down to my local river, maybe if i talk nice to him he will post them on the forum for you to see.
