| Thought it was an easy one... "The Queens Palace" This was before the big fire when the dome collapsed. All the bricks used to build it were maufactured at Rhyl Here's the full postcard [img] [/img] |

| No clues.... But I,ve put this on just to show that Liverpool and Man U arn't the only ones to win trophies (This is courtesey of "Old Rhyl" by Trefor Thompson) [img] [/img] Rhyl’s Football team return home to a rapturous welcome after winning the Welsh Senior Cup in April 1952, when they beat Merthyr Town 4-3 in the final at Cardiff. Rhyl held on to the Trophy the following year also when they beat Chester 2-1 at Bangor. Their successes at this time also included becoming Cheshire County League champions in 1948 and 1951, and runners up in 1949, 1950, 1952.The Cheshire League Challenge Cup also went to Rhyl in 1949 and 1952. Doesn't it make you want to throw your cap in the air? Those were the days jumpers for goal posts, heavy leather ball etc try this for a laugh http://www.mousebreaker.com/games/jumpersforgoalposts

Welcome Anthony If we added up Andy's, yours and my age together we'd have the first three numbers for a lottery card. |
