hi all if you are after a decent led lamp this is the one the priceton apex 3watt, for an led im well impressed with mine.

heres some pics of the lamp.........







the lamp can be run on aa alkaline or lithium burn time depends on batterries,i used 2700 nimh in mine.

Apex


The Apex is the pinnacle of waterproof LED headlamp design, boasting up to 130 lumens of output. With its 4 light levels, safety flash mode, and impact-resistant design, the Apex is an ideal headlamp for any hardcore adventure. The Apex combines a regulated Maxbright LED with 4 regulated Ultrabright LEDs, for constant brightness on all modes. Switching modes has never been easier – the dual switch system allows you to independently control the intense, smooth, long-range lighting from the Maxbright LED, and the wide-angle, close-range lighting from the 4 Ultrabright LEDs. Proprietary heatsink technology allows the LEDs to burn brighter and longer. The Apex is compatible with alkaline,lithium, and rechargeable batteries.

Wormy came to see me and ianrhyl at splash last night

Was like a bloody walking lighthouse coming towards us

I can definatelt reccomend these to anyone in the market for a new lamp...

ive owned 3 tigas they are bright but those batterries are heavy,when you have the princeton on yer head you dunno if youve got it on.

Thank you for the excellent advice Wormy,it just so happens that i am in the market for a new headlamp and its high time i brought myself and my old but trusty Petzl in to the modern world lol! .This looks an excellent buy for me because i dont want anything big and heavy like a tiga etc etc( had enough of carrying something like that when i was coal mining Smile )
