Ian,
There are still spaces available for the pier dates.
You are most welcome to join us. As is anyone reading this.
Just let me know if you are interested.

Other than that, I'd be up for anything boat or shore.

Maybe even a Mersey Charter later in the year??

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Dont know what you think of perch rock Mike but theres been some crackin thornies at low water over the past couple of weeks Laughing

i can't wait to get down there for them. 4 more weeks in rhyl and we'll be taking the boats round

finally down there and the thornies are in big numbers

first trip out today
i had 16 landed and 10-12 lost, my dad landed 24, steve had 50+, roger had 14, colin had 40 plus whoever else was out and what they had

not as good as yesterday but still plenty caught today. had a conger as well. squid is fishing better than mackerel. fish a 2-3ft mono trace of about 40-50lb with a 3/0 hook. slice a squid open and use the whole of it. found that working best. otherwise half a fillet of mackerel

always fishes well this time of year. i suppose it might be slightly better than it has been in the past but this time of year the mersey is always full of rays.

ian, there has been a 5lb cod reported other than that its just things up to 10 inches. still a bit early for them really. second week in november we tend to get our first proper run of cod. until then its thornie bashing
