The first Llandudno Pier night session of this winter greeted us with fantastic mild and calm conditions.

With clear skies to boot, just being there was magical in itself.

It was a father and son mini meet on the end platform with Headwyn, Squidward, Tony and Simon fishing under the hue of the green light.

Hia i thought id put a post up showing how i make my genie clips.

The wire ive used is stainless tig welding wire that is a little too thick but does the job. If you use thinner wire its a lot easier to bend and you can make them smaller.

Please take note of where the wire is positioned in the pliars each time, because if you dont put it in the circular grip as i have the wire will slip ending with a piece of wire firmly embedded in your thumb, which hurts....Trust me I know!!

Darren had 6 dogs and a good codling which he lost right on the edge.

As for me it was dogs, whiting and small codling, the number of bites missed were uncountable. But the light show from the Lightning was amazing. then the rain came along with the thunder. Time to head for the car.

Good to be out.

Fished high tide at Penmaenmawr last night. Nice calm and mild evening. Baits used were lug, sandeel, mackerel and squid. It was Whiting from the off. Ended up with about 30 between us which were all returned.

Paul did have one blinding pull down which took the rod out of its stand but whatever it was was lost on the retrieve. We think, from the take, that it was a decent sized Bass.

We have tried putting photos in but keep losing the thread in our attempts to do so.

I fished 100yds right of the yacht club daytime today with a friend, it was dry but a bit blowy the sea was very coloured 2 hours before high 1 hour after, I had a slack line bite just at the start ot the ebb. A Bass 17 oz was returned (big enough for the bait too small for the plate)

A nice surprise no other bites ....plentyof weed...lug and squid was used

Venue - Splash Point

Tide - Low

Time - Day

Bait - Frozen Lug

Date - 11th November 2009

Low water again with the usual 1 rod, 3 hook flapper setup.

It was flat calm, so there were no guarantees today.

Luckily, just after low the bites started.

A few missed before this brace arrived. The larger going just over 30cm.

More missed bites before I had to retire to the Chippy.

Happy Days!!!

A bite a chuck, with quite a few landed.

Whiting and decent sized Dabs made for a mad hour!

And then, an hour after low, it stopped!

The next few hours went by without a sniff.
