Venue - Prestatyn
Bait - Lug
Duration - 7hrs
Boat - Clueless Too

With a good forcast promised it was an early start for clueless to catch the first of the flood. We headed out to the banks looking for the last of this seasons Bass, the water was really discoloured so with conditions far from perfect & pulley pennels loaded with fresh worm the wait began. Undersized whiting were immediately on the scene stripping the hooks before anything else could get a look in. Eventually a nice sized flounder managed to beat the whiting to the bait a welcome change !!.

We decided a move was needed & headed for the rough ground by the outfall, fishing here was slow with the odd Dab, Whiting and under sized Codling cominig aboard. We did see another boat land an impressive conger of 25 lb plus the second or third one landed of this size in as many weeks.

That was it for me but Chris headed out to the wind farm after dropping me ashore & was catching Dabs Whiting & small Codling 3 & 4 at a time on baited feathers. We could be in for a bumper year shortly if these little fellas return when they've put a bit of weight on as they seem to be everywhere at the moment.

Venue - Prestatyn & Great orme
Bait - 15mm tow rope
Duration - 2 1/2 hrs
Boat - Crusader

better than me mate there again must have been the biggest catch Wink
we headed to the orme and as the orme came into view
we had just passed 2 yachts and one waved us over
Panic on the old chaps face said it all
"can you tow us to rhyl we have lost all power and there is no wind"
He has to be winding me up I said to Tracey but NO
turned out that he was a single keel and would turn over if he lost the water below him and the boat would sink

So attached the line and the long slow tow started managed 6 mph then we realised that he would not make rhyl in time we had to open it up to a top speed of 8mph

then it was a matter of getting up the foryd for the waiting cranes to lift him out

any way managed with 10 mins to spare have never seen a happier Man
lifted the boat out just in time as the water ran away
ended up the rough ground for us in the end

good dead done for 2009 at last cheers
